Retired Pros And Legends and What They Do Now

Retired Pros And Legends and What They Do Now

Hey Guys, Today I will be Discussing about retired players who formerly performed in the NALCS. These People were known to be God like during season 2 and now they are seen as “washed Up” but we’ll take a look at what they do in their everyday lives.

Reginald

Regi was a former midlaner for TSM and was known to be the shotcaller back in season 2 he also owned TSM and took care of the brand name. Back in his “prime” in his career he was known for playing Karthus, Zed,His BLUE CARD REGINALD(heres a video if you don’t understand what I mean), and His Mediocre Gragas plays :). Overall he was decent during season 2 but during season 3 he started declining which resulted to him stepping down. As of Today Reginald currently runs the TSM Brand and is owner of the company he helps expand TSM to different Esports such as SSB(Smash Bros) and CSGO. Basically Reginald is running a huge company that earns him a lot of money.

TheOddone

2032603-theoddone_57408_

TheOddone was one of the most legendary junglers back in his prime, He is also my favorite League Pro. Back in his day he was known for being one of the Top Junglers (Season 1), He was known for his quick reactions, and also making jungle Nunu and Maokai popular. He also Made DARUUUUDE SAAAANDSTORMMM Popular which is pretty cool. Aside from that he keeps playing League by streaming on twitch and still makes a living off of it due to his comedic style and pleasing his audience. To This day Oddone still streams League of Legends while also playing different games once in a while.

Imaqtpie

imaqtpie

Imaqtpie is The man The Legend himself, Former ADC for Dignitas, and once of the most popular Twitch Streamers to this day. Back in Season 2 for Professional League of Legends, he was part of Team Dignitas where he was known for his aggressive and flashy play style. He was always a force to reckon with during professional games and was probably one of the Top 3 ADCs back then. Later on during the beginning of the 2014 NALCS he decided to step down from Dignitas shortly after his old teammate Scarra(will be discussed later) stepped down. After Scarra left Imaqtpie lost his drive to play competitively and decided to become a full time streamer. Sooner or later he was making bank becoming a full time streamer and he described it as a much more fun alternative than playing professionally. Today we see Imaqtpie streaming everyday, while also uploading highlights on Youtube.

Scarra

7nctdam67lnkejo

Scarra, a man with many titles, Former Coach for CLG, Former MidLaner for Team Rock Solid, and Former Midlaner for Dignitas. Scarrais known to be very intelligent by the community due to his very informative commentary. He holds the highest record for most kills in a single Professional game which was 19 with AP Master YI .Through out his career he was known for his mechanical skill which proved him to be one of the best mid laners back in 2013. Although he had a very few champion pool which he was comfortable playing with such as Katarina which he is known for. His Second most well known champion is his Gragas which Riot Games decided to represent scarra as in the 2014 World Championship Series (Can Be seen at 1:08). He also known for his Gragas Outplay which can be seen here . Much Like Imaqtpie he retired during the year of 2014 and decided to be a coach. Today we can see Scarra streaming Daily and contributing to the League of Legends Community.

Dyrus

jvvk7oi

Last but not least we have Dyrus, a player since beta, he’s followed and accompanied the Esports side of League of Legends from the bottom to its current fame today. a calm nonchalant player is what you would describe him as. He is known for many things during his career such as his infamous singed in which he would spam laugh during a competitive tournament(DreamHack), His Jayce which is shown in the Season 3″Road to the Cup” Clip( can be seen at 2:27),  Is one of the two players, the other being YellowStar, who have attended the first 5 League of Legends Worlds Championship Series, he also holds the most career assists in the top lane( By far quite an accomplishment since top lane is an Island), He attended to every NALCS Finals under the same TSM banner. Overall Dyrus was seen as a legend and will forever be quite the player to watch. And you may be asking what are his whereabouts to this day, well he is loyal to his fans and still streams on a daily basis, while uploading content on his youtube.

What Each of These Veterans Have in Common?

Well in the end each of these Unique held  a trait that carried them so far in life. From owning big Brand names in the Esports community, to Streaming on a daily basis. These men who have been the keystone to the Esport world we see growing today had a sense of Comedic behavior. Whether it be trolling (the postitive kind) or it being them having a funny reaction during streams. Or making a funny meme for his fan base( General Oddone, Raise your dongers-imaqtpie, Singed Laugh-Dyrus, Stay Free Noobs-Oddone). In the end these Retired Pros have caused laughter throughout the small span of 4-5 years and currently cause tons of joy for the Esport Community.

P.S. Enjoy this cool Music :^)

Noticing New Fish Out of water: Team Immortals

Noticing New Fish Out of water: Team Immortals

Hello there, It’s been a while since we’ve looked into the Esports side of League of Legends, and There is much to be noticed about the new LCS team Immortals. This probably seems like the most overpowered team that no ones seems to notice. In this post we shall analyze each individual team mate and how they contribute to the team seeing how stacked there team comp is and what it represents as a company for Team Immortals.

Huni In The Top Lane

This is probably one of the flex picks  for this Team, He game from Fnatic A Top european team and was a star player there. He is known for his 1v1 mechanics and dominance in the top lane. He is also known for his riven, Hecarim, and Jax plays. Overall Huni will show quite a threat towards all the NA toplaners. Definitely a good Pick up and “Ace in the Hole” for Team Immortals.giphy

Reignover In The Jungle

Another ex-member of Fnatic Reignover decided to be imported to NA much like Huni to learn and experience the NA LCS. He also might’ve joined since the salaries are a lot higher over here in America compared to Europe.Seeing how Reignover was part of a team who placed 3rd in Worlds he obviously holds some talent to help increase Immortals potential. Hopefully he performs up to the expectations of his fans and Team Immortal’s.

Pobelter In The Mid Lane

Former mid laner of CLG, Pobelter was another sweet pick up for the creators of Team immortals, although he was benched from CLG he ended up being on Team Immortals. Pobelter proved to be a well rounded midlaner who really didn’t show much fault in his mechanics. This Split could be his chance to put himself on the spotlight and show what NA talent looks like. Now being on a brand new team we’ll have to wait and see how well he performs along with his new teammates and how he enjoys the environment of Team Immortals .

giphy (1).gif

WildTurtle in The AD Carry

Former ADC of the NA king team ,Team SoloMid, He was later benched and he decided to move on as an open agent. Sooner or later he was drafted onto Team Immortals and although turtle has the flaw for being out of position, he does know how make game changing moves. Last Split he was known for his Dragon and Baron steals and he is ultimately an intimidating ADC.  He also poses as a pillar of strength for Team Immortals.giphy (2)

Adrian As Support

Adrian was part of the former team, Team Impulse, a team who was close to being at the top of NA. Adrian was known for his Shotcalling techniques that could make or break a team. Overall his champion pool is rather large and can step up with needed. Even Adrian’s Thresh became well known and is good at keeping up with the meta since he has 7 accounts in challenger. In the end Adrian’s shot calling and mechanics may be the back bone for Team Immmortals.

Team Immortals

Team Immortals looks good on paper and each player has good mechanics its only a matter of time before we see whether Team Immortals can be a challenge to other teams. LCS Starts up in a couple of months and by the looks of it this split will become even more rugged and messy and it is undefinable who will be at the top of NA whether it be C9,TSM, Or Team Immortals.

Discussion of Off Season Drama and LCS Roster Changes

Discussion of Off Season Drama and LCS Roster Changes

Hello there! Long time no see since I’ve submitted a blog post, well today I’ll b e discussing NA LCS (League Championship Series) and how this year has been on of the most phenomenal and dramatic Off season in the history of League Of  legends. The storm began brewing during the end of the World Championship Series in which NA got Swept off before quarterfinals, as a result many teams faced many changes and faced lots of drama so below I’ll be discussing about each of the teams that I feel faced significant changes

TSM

After Worlds one of TSM’s legends Dyrus retired from competitive play after having a legacy of 5 years. This caused an uproar in the community of League of Legends seeing a Legend such as Dyrus step down. This meant someone would have to step in to fill his huge foot steps. It was announced with the change of TSM’s new roster and the top Laner who replaced Dyrus was Hauntzer, before joining TSM he was a member of Team Gravity in which he played a carry style on that team, Dyrus himself approved Haunzter as his replacement. Next we have Santorin being benched for not meeting up to TSM’s standards. This led to TSM needing a Jungler for the next split, of course when they were looking for open clients they might run into some conflict in terms of competing with other teams recruiting, unfortunately TSM faced this problem when scouting for a Jungler. Of course seeing how rich TSM as a company is they did end up buying out H2K a European team. The Jungler they bought out was named Svenskeren, seeing how TSM went through all the trouble of recruiting him he must show some potential and promise. During worlds TSM’s adc wildturtle didn’t perform as expected this causing the team to bench him, while in search of an adc fit for a starter spot, something that was pretty dramatic happened that changed TSM forever, there Greatest RIVALS CLG got rid of Doublelift(Their adc)who was on CLG since the beginning and he’s been loyal to the team. Sadly he got kicked and from seemed like being stabbed in the back due to the fact that HIS own teammate(Aphromoo) went to the head coach and said along the lines ” I can’t play another split with DL, so it’s either I leave or he goes.” Surprisingly he let go of DL And left him kicked off the team, now this was a shocker for the community. This was also coincidently a good time to happen since TSM needed an adc, so now DoubleLift joins TSM which probably shocked everyone even more and has called quite an uproar. Lastly TSM old support Lustboy had to step down due to arm injuries and him not being able to endure the pain and he couldn’t enjoy playing professionally without dealing with the pain. This caused him to retire and quit league professionally, this caused TSM in search of a new support player and they were looking for free agents willing to join. Seeing how a tournament was nearing they needed a support player fast this leading them to choose KaSing, an EU pro of course he is not on the roster permanently due to them not knowing whether or not he will stay within the team. Overall I cannot infer on what will happen with this new generation of TSM, we’ll see how well they perform this season.

C9

C9 surprisingly made a decent performance at worlds seeing how they almost got relegated this split, with Hai stepping in as Jungler for shot calling they did as best they can in their situation. Now that season 6 split draws near and C9 Lemonation retires and becomes a coach C9 needs a Jungler and a support. This leads to C9 recruiting Rush who has shown great offensive jungle play during season 5 split rush had played on Team Impulse who has now sold their spot on the LCS. Then for Support they picked up BunnyFuFu, who is known for his Thresh plays. overall C9 has the talent to be the top again they just need some one to shot call as good as Hai, this leads to a mystery on how well C9 will perform this season.

CLG

At the end of worlds CLG faced some dramatic changes, this caused a riot in the Esports community seeing how CLG’s star player Double Lift gets kicked off. Sources say there was some fishy business going on behind the camera especially with the infamous “Rush Hour” Star Duo which included Doublelift and Aphromoo , whom everyone thought they along. This all changed during the aftermath of worlds in which Aphromoo went up to the head coach and stated “Its Either me or Peter, either way I’m not playing another split with Peter(Doublelift)” this raised the assumption that Aphromoo never really got along with Doublelift. Of course CLG’s owner (HotSHotGG) agreed and kicked Doublelift. Another unwise decision by CLG was to bench Pobelter, Who played well and consistent during the season. Pobelter honestly was a huge benefit for CLG and seeing him get replaced by Huhi is rather concerning seeing how Pobelter didn’t really do anything benchworthy. Seeing how CLG got rid of its two best carries we’ll have to wait and see on how they do.

Who Shall Rise to the Top This Year

Seeing how these roster changes will flip the tables of the LCS , it is unknown which team will see success this split, this may lead to sloppier messier games in which these three power house teams face significant changes and struggle to grasp a lead on this split, Which team shall be Lord of NA ? Analyzation of Worlds Semi- Finals to Finals 2015

Hey guys its been a week since we posted today I would like to talk about the Worlds  Series and how I  think things will go down in the Semi-Finals and who I think may potentially win Worlds. I’ll  be discussing each individual team and their chances of winning worlds.

Origen

Origen has an impressive advancement and have taken a long journey to get to where they are now. They were originally a challenger team who wasn’t even in the EU LCS and as they stomped their way into the LCS that’s where it all began. Xpeke(Midlaner) who was originally on Fnatic, disbanded away from the team in order to form a new team with “new blood”, Xpeke is known for his Backdoor in Season 1 World Championship series.Overall Xpeke is a force to be reckoned with since he is probably the most experienced player on Origen . SoaZ is their top laner and from the looks of this aspiring top laner he’s got enough skill to keep other teams on their heels and to make sure he doesn’t get ahead. Amazing (jungler) is a player who I used to doubt for his abilities as a jungler who didn’t quite shine when on TSM(NA team). But seeing Amazing perform on the World’s stage I’ve seen he has grown and improved as a player and is a huge help for Origen.Next we have Niels(ADC) who is one of the most talented rookies I’ve seen this season, His positioning as an ADC is good enough for Origen to peel and win team fights when needed overall one of the flex picks for Origen if they want to advance to Finals. Finally for Origen we have Mithy(Support) one of the few players who’s been struggling to be on the spotlight to show what he’s got since on Origen he’s shown great talent and mechanics that keep Origen from crumbling.

SKT T1

Season 3 World champions SKT is an intimidating team and a team that shouldn’t be taken lightly. First we will start with their Top laner MaRin, who is known for his aggressive and carry style in the toplane. MaRin has a KDA of 5.19 on this Worlds Tournament, He is a huge factor towards SKT T1’s line up and will be a huge contributor these couple of  games.Next we have Bengi in the jungle who is a quite player for being on SKT but while quite he is a deadly opponent with good synergy with his teammates. He is also good at analyzing his opponents behaviors and implementing them in game. Then we Have Faker in the midlane, Faker is hyped for his mechanics and his god like gameplay on the rift.In the ADC position we have Bang, he is known for his aggressive smooth style as an ADC who wrecks havoc in the bot lane he’s been there for SKT T1 in the best of times. Finally we have we have Wolf who is support for SKT T1 he plays  a good part in the team and makes some good initiations for team fights that make it break it for this korean team. Overall I think SKT T1 has a good chance at worlds if they keep up their play.

Fnatic

Season 1 world champions FNC has been one of the most consistent team in the world over the years. Let’s start with Huni in the toplane, known for his carry aggro style of play and his flashy 1v1 plays against his opponent, Huni is a very intimidating opponent that makes his foes be careful when laning against him.Next we have Reignover in the jungle, in the past he was underestimated and was considered trash, but ever since joining FNC he as a player has grown and is now considered a top tier jungler and a huge help for FNC. Then we have Febiven in the Midlane, this player is considered the only one to match Faker in terms of skill .Having solo killed Faker twice in the same game definitely top tier mid laner who is a respectable match up.Moving on to the bottom side we have Rekkles as FNC’s ADC, Rekkles is probably the youngest player and also holds great skill in his role, he is known for his confident and well  executed gameplay and keeping the enemy team from getting a lead on him while young he still holds a lot of potential for FNC. Last we have YellOwStaR as support having been the veteran of this team he holds great knowledge and experience. Known as the backbone of FNC the team together and FNC would most likely be nothing without him. Overall FNC looks to be a strong team that can  most likely Win worlds.

KOO Tigers

KOO having been a rookie team has shown great dominance in the LCK and having synergy to out class their opponents. To begin with we have Smeb in the top lane, his playstyle and mechanics make him an essential part of KOO and even when under pressure or behind he makes sure KOO don’t lag behind and can also carry from Top side.Second we have hojin in the jungle, having been known for having map awareness/map pressure on all 3 lanes and knowing which objectives to take for them to advance and succeed overall an average pro jungler but still packs a punch on stage. Next we have Kuro in the mid lane, although he may not have as much of a diverse champ pool compared to Faker but his mechanics are solid and his experience have shined this year making him a power pick for KOO and hopefully will be able to help them make it to the finals .Then we have PraY in the AD carry role having played League of Legends since KR server opening,he is seen as a “Genius of the AD Carry role”-LGD Imp. Also known for his highly aggressive play style and Confidence in the laning phase, probably will be KOO’s Carry for the road towards the final. Finally we have GorillA as Support, having played/exploited such a huge champ pool in this tournament it is safe to say that he has a diverse sense of style and known for being able to keep up with his bot lane partner PraY. KOO Tigers overall seems as a wildcard team out of these four teams and we’ll just have to wait and see who takes the title of 1st place in the 2015 Worlds Championship series. And if there is one thing I have to say to these players all from what I’ve learned in English is that there are multiple paths to get to the same destination whether you’re on the edge at being behind 0-2 and realize you have to win 3 consecutive games to beat your opponent just know that you can defeat with analyzation thought and execution. Well have a nice day everybody and have fun on the rift.

Toxicity in League and How We Can Help As A Community

Hello it’s been a couple of days since we posted on this blog. Today I want to talk about Toxicity. This happens a lot in the League community and today I’m kinda just gonna rant about the cons and how you can help by being an even more positive open minded player. First let’s talk about /all chat situations in which the enemy team says something like “Not even close bby” or “GG EZ” a lot of times this can enrage us and makes us very “salty” but don’t let this get to you cause sometimes this gets you on “tilt”and makes you lose focus. What you can do is focus more and ignore the enemy rambling on about he is better than you, if it so happens that you win that game don’t be like that one guy who says “We beat you anyways” or “Not even close ;)” just kinda type in chat “gg wp” and exit match and continue on a fresh match. Next let’s move on to some other problems we come across on our own team. Sometimes we come across those teammates who flame and kind of chew on you, but don’t worry just keep on playing ignore them and try your best or on occasion say “my bad” or explain what you did wrong so your teammates at least know you’re  analyzing your mistakes. And let’s say you end up losing that game and after game, in chat your teammates are flaming you; you can either 1) type “gg wp” and exit chat or 2) if they are excessively harassing you then yes feel free to report them but be sure to state a reason to why you are reporting them. Finally lets discuss Sportsmanship when in a match, let’s say your team was getting dragon and they just got collapsed on by the enemy adc thus giving him a triple kill, try to refrain from being “salty” or be toxic towards them cause we all make mistakes. If you are losing also try to avoid from typing “/all Open mid” cause this kind of ruins the fun of the game as we like to call League of Throws, because there is that slim chance you can win and defeat them thus making a comeback. Over all if you see toxicity in game just try to be positive and set a positive environment for your team, and be the “bigger man” and just keep your cool. Something that I’ve learned in English class that may help keep us positive is the quote, “The Greatest griefs are those we cause ourselves” from the book Sophocles. The quote tells us that we make the situation worse based on how we react so rather than be angered and upset for a trolling player keep calm and just move on.Until next time fellow summoners and have fun on the rift and good luck in ranked matches.
